NX-5300 Series models are UHF. The Kenwood NEXEDGE NX-5000 Series offers unsurpassed interoperability supporting digital NXDN and P25 Phase 1 (conventional and trunked) and Phase 2 (trunked), plus FM analog in a single radio. Setting your radio to Mixed Mode allows operation in both digital and analog. Operates to P25 standards for public safety agencies, public works, and commercial enterprises in North America (not for use in EU). LCD screen can be viewed clearly in direct sunlight or in the dark. Offers Active Noise Reduction with DSP and superb Kenwood audio quality even in noisy environments. Kenwood NX-5000 portable radios meet IP67/68 immersion standards and IP54/55 dust/water ingress standards. NX-5000 radios include 56-bit key Data Encryption Standard (DES). 256-bit AES available.
